Of course, self-care isn't a magic wand and it doesn't make our day-to-day challenges disappear BUT, what is does help us to do, is to replenish our energy, rebuild our resilience, manage stress and increase our ability to cope with and bounce back from the challenges we face.

Absolutely Yes! As parent/carers of a child with SEN and/or school avoidance our time is at an absolute premium and so a 'little and often' approach compounds quickly to achieve sustainable results. My philosophy is to make small but consistent changes, using the time that we DO have. Sometimes it's just about shifting our mindset or doing some of our usual activities in a different way, which takes no extra time at all, but can make a BIG difference!
