I see you. I understand.

As a mum to an AuDHD child who spent two years out of mainstream school, I know how overwhelming and isolating this path can feel.

For a long time, I lived through many of the same challenges that so many parents I now work with face:

  • Navigating endless meetings, emails, and calls
  • Advocating (often fiercely) for support
  • Managing meltdowns and dysregulation
  • Facing judgment from those who don’t understand
  • Juggling work – arriving late, shifting to less demanding roles, or putting careers on hold altogether
  • Balancing the needs of other important people in our lives

I remember the exhaustion, the overwhelm, and that feeling of just getting through each day with little (if any) time or energy left over for myself and my own wellbeing.

One particularly difficult afternoon, I reached a point where I knew something had to change. I realised that while I couldn't control everything happening around me, I could start to care for myself in small, meaningful ways that would strengthen my coping skills and help refill my cup so that I was in the best position to do all the things.

I didn’t need a big overhaul or impossible goals. I began with tiny steps - quick and simple habits that, over time, helped me feel calmer, brighter, and more grounded. Those small shifts made a big difference. Slowly but surely, I began to feel more joyful and more like me again, with renewed energy!

Now, I believe that even the smallest acts of self-care can spark something powerful. I'm fascinated by learning and implementing tools to support wellbeing, and as a certified Self-Care Coach, my mission is to share what has helped me so that you can feel better too – one small step at a time.
